Spring is Here

Ah, Spring in Minnesota.  High School Hockey is over.   Buds are forming on the trees.  Grass is starting to green up (well, ok, snow is starting to melt).  You know its spring when you see your first robin.  Your invoices are due by May 1st.  Cards (some get cards) and stickers for 2011 will be mailed out by the week before the pool opens on Memorial Weekend.  You only get a card if you are a new member or sublease.  Otherwise, you only get stickers.

The cost of your 2011 member dues was held at $160 for the 7th year in a row.  We did however raise the sublease fee from $50.00 to $75.00 this year.  This is so we can try and build up our reserve cash.  Sublease fees are required whenever someone other than the member is using the pool.  Part of this fee covers the extra work involved managing the non-member information.  The other part will (hopefully) go into reserves.  With rising prices, we anticipate our gas bill to be humongous this year.  We really need to increase our cash reserve in case some of our older equipment starts to break down.  The board is doing everything it can to manage expenses and minimize the possibility of any type of assessment later on.

This year we will charge $25 a month (late fee) for dues not paid in full by May 1, and we will send past due accounts to collections in August for those who have not paid their 2011 dues.  PLEASE pay your dues on time.

If you cannot afford your member dues, there is always the sublease option.  You can sublease yourself or you can fill out a recurring sublease agreement and the business office will handle it for you.  Either way, you need to fill out a form on our website under the member sublease information

As you drive by the pool, keep an eye on the melting snow.  You know we are close when you see the pool chairs neatly lined up around the pool.  I can't wait.  How about you?
